Ultima Networks plc is a green technology company promoting the use of green energy with investment in solar parks. Solar power is the ultimate form of renewable energy where sunlight is directly converted into electricity.
We need renewable energy because most of our energy comes from burning fuel, which pollutes the environment. If we use natural energy sources, like solar, geothermal, wind or water energy, then we know that we will keep the planet safe and we'll always have these sources available.
In the United Kingdom, suppliers are legally obliged to purchase a proportion of their electricity from renewable sources under the Renewables Obligation. The requirement for renewable energy is designed to act as an incentive for the generation of electricity from eligible renewable sources in the United Kingdom.
With increasing energy demands, and the need to reduce fossil fuel supply and the carbon footprint, The European Union has proposed that 20% of energy is generated from renewable sources by 2020. Many Governments have established feed-in tariffs, where fixed prices are paid to generators of solar energy, usually for a minimum period of 25 years, enabling revenue and profits.
